SOOO I finally got my laptop! It's a shiny Macbook Pro, 15 inch screen, and amazingly pretty. <3 And it runs DA a little better than my desktop! So I'm thinking the problem was my computer, then...? And I have a built-in webcam! Now I can talk to my sister since she's moved to Charleston, nearly four hours away. )': And my friends when I don't feel like driving.

I cannot wait until I move out! I'm so excited. I'm moving out this Friday, finally. It isn't that far away, but then I'd rather be closer to home a bit so that I can get stuff from my parents more easily (pssht, I don't care if I'm still kinda dependent on them...I won't have that support someday! ) and if I forget something I'm just twenty minutes or so away.

But having a dorm room means no more calling my parents to tell them I'll be going "out" with friends or staying over/staying late somewhere. Especially now that I've gone to a club once... ;D They don't exactly approve of that kind of thing...not that they condemn it or anything, but they just don't like it too much.

So last night my friends dragged me to The Library on Franklin Street for any of you that are familiar with North Carolina's Chapel Hill region. It's on UNC's campus, near Granville Towers. And I must say it was awesome. The only thing was that I got giant Xs on the backs of my hands because I'm 18. But at least they let me in! And we didn't have to pay as far as I know...good to have inside connections sometimes. The Xs kinda made me feel self-conscious... xD;; That, and one of my friends comments that my dress was making my boobs look big. Way to go, Pelly... :< I got asked to dance once by some random guy which I declined because I was still feeling self-conscious and don't feel like I could dance with someone I just met...or even my friends. It took a lot of pushing and shoving (literally on Pelly's part) to get me to dance! ....and a drink or two. Or three. It's amazing that if you dump it into a plastic cup they don't ask. It's almost scary how many loopholes there were...but it helped me get over my self-consciousness! Hehe.
